My Sister and Inside Jokes

This is my youngest sister. Some of my junior high friends might remember the joke.

So, I'm dying to see the joke, I'm guessing it's Smurfs or Poodle Related, or perhaps something to do with feet not touching the ground.

The Link appears to be broken though.

I can't get it either. Richard's guesses were good, but I was thinking more being special because your feet touch the ground or possibly something involving an ugly punchbowl.
PLEASE post this picture soon!

I hope it's fixed now. Funny, Richard, that you skipped the joke that was your creation.

I'm afraid I had forgotten that joke. But now I am Laughing, thanks for the memory jog.

And I'm totally, completely lost. I obviously don't remember this particular joke. Sorry.

It is a cute pic of Amanda, though.

@Writer -- "Like my boots?"

Oh my.
From the edges of fuzziest memory comes a stirring. I can picture Richard saying, but I cannot for the life of me put it in context. Was it in Romeo and Juliet? When/where did this come from? Was it just at dancing? I can't remember why it was funny.
Oh, dear. It's just been way too long. Two decades, in fact.

You've been teaching for more than two decades?

My fuzzy memory only remembers that it was a class assignment. Some sort if medieval context, perhaps? Maybe Richard remembers.

I can't remember the context. I remember saying it, but that's all.

I'd completely forgotten about it until I saw the picture—and even then it wasn't an instant memory, it took a good eight seconds to come back to me.

I got it! Brings back memories, especially since Amanda looks so much like you.

Dang. That's going to bug me for a looong time now. I can remember right where Richard was and right where I was when he said it-- several times, as I recall. But I can't remember the rest of it.

It was at ballroom, some kind of school project to do with a video interview of midieval people.

Par..snips...par...sley.... "Parlay?" Parlay, that's the one, parlay.

Obviously I have a different line of thinking than you crazies, especially since I wasn't in junior high with you. :p Amanda looks like a pirate!
