And this is Adara on the playground at Kindergarten. The other day she said, "Will you look at me over the wall?" And then when she was standing there on the other side of the wall, she said, "The other moms and dads take pictures of their kids." (She's showing off the Disney princess ring that her friend shared with her.)

And how is Mommy handling the 1st child going off to kindergarten?
oh my, it has been a long time since I even thought of coming here. Going to Kindergarten is just fine. It's just another change in an already endless string of changes in our lives. Adara really needs the structure and the socialization of school, and she knows that that is what she wants. It's only a 3 hour program, so it's not overwhelming for her -- though she did go to all day pre-K when she turned 4 and did fine. The biggest thing is just doing the prep work -- make a snack, do the homework, walk to school (and back). It's nothing hard, but it has taken us awhile to get into the swing of the new routine.
